Susan Lucci Youthful Essence is a personal microdermabrasion system that seeks to bring a salon-quality microdermabrasion tool into the home. Exfoliating the skin is a crucial part of a skin care routine. Designed by Dean and Amby Rhodes, two salon owners in Beverly Hills, California, Susan Lucci Youthful Essence micrdermabrasion system is comprised of five tools that work together for total microdermabrasion skin care:
- 1.7 ounce Youthful Essence Vitamin Enriched Resurfacing Cream - This cream is made of microdermabrasion crystals, and antioxidant vitamins A, C, and E. The crystals are the key component to the microdermabrasion system.
- .5 ounce Youthful Essence Daily Protection Moisturizer - Made with marine extracts for calming the skin after the microdermabrasion treatment.
- 1.0 ounce Youthful Essence For Night Moisturizer - Specially formulated for night, this moisturizer helps to firm the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines
- Two Youthful Essence sponge applicators - When used in conjuction with the Vitamin Enriched Resurfacing Cream, the applicators help exfoliate the skin.
- A battery-operated, watertight facial resurfacing tool - Used with the sponge applicators and the Youthful Essence Vitamin Resurfacing Cream, the battery operated tool works to polish away dead skin cells to reveal younger, healthier skin
Recommended Use For The Susan Lucci Youthful Essence Microdermabrasion System
During the first week, the Youthful Essence program recommends cleansing the skin daily with Susan Lucci's cleansing product. Follow the cleansing with a moisturizer. The microdermabrasion exfoliating should be performed four times during the first week. It is recommended to use the microdermabrasion tool in the evening, as redness and irritation may occur.
When week two of the Susan Lucci facial series begins, it is recommended to let the skin rest, by simply sticking to a twice-daily cleansing and hydrating routine. Skip the microdermabrasion process entirely.
Week three of Youthful Essence is the start of the ongoing home maintenance routine. Rather than using the microdermabrasion system several times, it is recommended that the exfoliation part of the routine only be performed two to three times per week, allowing the skin a day off in between treatments.
