Most women often struggle with the organization of their favorite makeup products that they need to take with them for a day.

Choosing makeup products that you need to carry with you is something all women want to sort out. It can get more complicated if you are going from a day look to an evening look while having to get ready at your day job. One of the simplest ways to keep this easy is to have an organized solution, and there are several options to choose from.

Makeup Organizers

Christina Ziber created a streamlined solution for effortless beauty in her makeup line Jouer, (which means ‘to play’ in French ) with customized palettes. You can choose from lip and cheek tint, mineral powder bronzer, mascara, lip gloss, foundation and concealer that all seamlessly fit together for a no-spill makeup kit ready to go!

Jouer products interlock so you can make any combination that you want. Her lip glosses are loaded with yummy ingredients like Shea Butter, Jojoba oil and Pomegranite Seed oil. All of the makeup products are mixed with treatment like the age-repairing concealer which contains Brazilian botanicals and pro-Vitamin A.

One of her ‘star’ products is called matte touch. It is a botanical mattifier that can be used where needed to absorb excess oil. The beauty of this product is that it can be used under or over makeup, which is why it is a ‘must have’ for touch ups.

Laura Mercier is a makeup guru who created two different palettes that are convenient for touch ups, especially when you need to kick it up a notch for the evening. One is called Evolution of Colour for Lips and provides a mini brush as well a moisturizing base and lip colours. The other one is Evolution of Color for the Eyes, offering silky crease resistant shadows.

One of the most well known Makeup Planners was created by Trish McEvoy who has three size options with binder rings: small, medium and large. McEvoy’s Planner holds accessories like an eye lash curler, sponges and brushes as well as magnetic pages for custom products. The Makeup Planner’s magnetic pages allow you to easily update your makeup choices and keep it easy to mix your blushers, foundation, eyeshadows and bronzer.

Other Options

If you have plenty of makeup already and maybe want to try only one product from a company like Jouer, and you are not ready to invest in a palette, then shop for great cosmetic bags.

Cosmetic bags do not have to be an expensive prospect and can completely change the order of what you are carrying around. Instead of buying a larger cosmetic bag where you have to dig for your products, try several small ones.

You can make this fun for your self by having 2 or 3 small bags in different colors, or all the same color but in different sizes to help you identify quickly what the contents are inside.

If you keep your lipsticks and glosses in one bag, you will quickly know which one to grab. The same goes for concealer, eye pencils, mascara, primer and whatever else you consider a priority to carry.

Make this a fun project and you will quickly be relieved of any stress factor dealing with what to carry in your handbag for a touch up. Keep it simple, keep your makeup bags clean, and change it up from season to season.

Tips On What To Carry

  • Small eye pencils ( don’t throw them out when they get small after sharpening – it’s perfect to keep in your handbag )

  • Options: primer, bronzer, powder, other lipstick choices, lip pencil
