Find out the top wish list products for the future of beauty as high tech products hit the market and revolutionize the cosmetics industry.
Whether they need further research or they are already on Christmas wish lists, these are some products making a big splash in 2010. Clarisonic: For a while now, the hottest skin care products have either been high tech or they have been all about cleansing. The Clarisonic combines the two for the largest leap in home cleansing since the new generation oil and balm cleansers hit the market some years ago. Developed by the brains behind the Sonicare toothbrush, this facial cleansing tool helps to give the deepest most gentle cleanse to all skin types. Better still it can be used with any favorite non abrasive cleanser. The thorough cleanse it offers helps beauty products to penetrate properly, as well as being beneficial for many skin issues from shaving rash to clogged pores. Clarisonic say on their website that "skin is left so clean it actually absorbs products like serums and moisturizers better." This would presumably help to save money and get the most benefits from products. Already a success in spas across the USA, the Clarisonic will be hitting the UK soon and is to be stocked by Space NK, who are as always at the forefront of expensive beauty trends. Nanotechnology:This has been around in cosmetics for many years but is only now starting to become a real marketing term for high tech brands. It is also only now starting to boil to a head as a big issue in beauty. Some beauty devotees have jumped straight into the concept whilst other people are unaware that products they already buy may use this technology. The nano particles are so small that they can act as a potent and effective delivery system for ingredients used on the skin. This technology has great implications for the effectiveness of anti wrinkle skin care, which is becoming more and more targeted as people demand greater results. Some are opposed to the use of nanotechnology in cosmetics without further research: As a relatively new technology, safety and effectiveness need proper testing. Some groups such as Friends of the Earth are pressing the FDA to rule that brands using nano particles and compounds in their products must clearly label them as such. However, this is yet to become a serious campaign due to generally low consumer awareness. Whether you actively seek it out in your products or you wish to do more research before deciding on safety and desirability, nanotechnology is going to be the buzz word around skincare brands in the coming year. Lipstick:Real, traditional lipstick has had a revival of late and this will definitely carry on in to the Winter / Spring 2010 season. However there are now many long lasting formulas available which not only stay on the lips but do not dry them out either. This makes it easier to have a fuller smile, less bleeding and to be able to wear color all day without stress. Products include Nars Velvet Matte lip pencils, Laura Mercier Lip Velvet and Lipstick Queen Fame Pop Art Gloss. Professional Nail Polish:Anyone trying to save cash on manicures during the credit crunch, or simply people who want value for money should look in to the new and popular ranges of professional nail polish. Once the preserve of beauty therapists and salons, consumers are becoming aware of the good sense in buying professional nail polish for home use. 2010 will see many professional brands really make a splash.
The top professional brands to look out for in 2010 are Essie for amazing color, Leighton Denny for luxury and Rococo for something quirky.
